Best Friends is the sixth episode of season one of Element Wars.

Plot Summary

The kids are found again in the place of trouble, thus making Detective Gordon suspect they're being targeted by a hostile organization. He forces them to be accompanied anywhere by a bodyguard who also keep their houses. The kids are annoyed by this new lifestyle but decide to ignore it and keep looking for the girl they just met. Diana lies to Detective Gordon and tells him that the mysterious girl might be the person who's targeting them, to make the police look for her too. The kid's searching (by introducing themselves as new students in several schools) had no results, but suddenly Gordon calls Diana and tells the kids to come to the police station because he found something. As they rush inside, Gordon is shot to death by a masked person. They ran after him through the city, but he ends up getting away with a motorboat that waited for him. Suddenly the new girl shows up, introducing herself as Erika and claim that Gordon's killers are chasing her for three months. Diana suggests that she'll join them and they will figure it out, but Erika refuses, not wanting to endanger any more people, and flies away.

• Detective Gordon's Killer was never referred to by any name, as well as his brother.
• Detective Gordon's name is a reference to a character with the same name from Batman Begins and The Dark Knight
